I started singing at an early age competing in local competitions and Eisteddfodau. As a boy soprano I won first place at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod. In 1986 I studied on the Performance course at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and furthered my studies as a Post Graduate on the Advanced course at the Royal Academy of Music in London. My qualificationa are L.W.C.M.D. and P.G Dip R.A.M.
Companies I have sung for include Welsh National Opera, Glyndebourne Festival and Touring Opera, Scottish Opera, Reis Opera, Garsington Opera, Opera Holland Park and Raymond Gubbay productions. I have worked with the Education department at Welsh National Opera, Glyndebourne and the Touch Trust in Cardiff.
Also I teach singing and piano to adults and children. My desire is to share my expertise and knowledge in a way each student feels special, valued and encouraged. I am happy to teach all levels and style including classical, opera, pop and musical theatre and my aim in teaching singing is to free the voice to produce a natural and supported sound through teaching vocal technique, breathing, posture, interpretation, improving vocal power and range, build confidence, style and musicality in a fun relaxed environment.
